Gata’s own goal started the whitewashing of Kwara United in just two minutes into the game. Later in the 17^th minute Emmanuel doubled the lead for Niger Tornadoes. Hashim’s brace in the 51^st and 54^th minute sealed the victory for Abubakar Bala side.

Despite Rivers United loosing away to Nassarawa United they have maintained their lead with 10 points above Plateau United. Plateau United sits second on the log with 61 points.
